The Collaborative Divorce process is a new option for divorce. Instead of the more traditional divorce that could be adversarial, costly and wind up in court, the Collaborative Divorce is a team process. It addresses the three dimensions of divorce: legal, emotional and financial. The Collaborative Divorce is the only process which utilizes this team of experts to guide the couple through the divorce. As a member of this team Dr. Gang serves as either a Child Specialist or a Coach. The Child Specialist provides a voice for the child to insure that their true needs are addressed. The Coach deals with the tough emotional issues and insure effective communication between each spouse. Other members of the team include a Financial Specialist who helps the couple to make informed decisions about money and take control of their financial future and Attorneys, one for each spouse that provide skilled representation and guides the couple through the legal process.
